Newk’s Eatery Celebrates Recent Remodel in October With Ribbon Cutting and Month-Long Partnership with Susan G. Komen “Feed The Pig” Campaign Newk’s Eatery will celebrate the recent remodel of the Winston Salem location with a Chamber ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, October 7 at 10:00 am. All chamber members are invited to attend. Newk’s is offering a $5.00 off an entrée gift to all chamber members on Tuesday, October 7 thru Sunday, October 12. Members should mention, “I support the Winston Salem Chamber” when ordering to receive the special discount. The local eatery will kick off a month long partnership with Susan G. Komen as the official sponsor of their new program, “Feed the Pig, Fund a Mammogram” in honor of October Breast Cancer Awareness month. Pink Piggy Banks will be sold in the Winston Salem and Greensboro Newk’s locations during the month of October, with proceeds from the sale of the pigs going to the local Susan G. Komen group. Additionally, people are asked to collect additional donations by “Feeding the Pig” and returning their proceeds to Newk’s during the month of October.
