In an article written by Meghann Evans of the Winston-Salem Journal, Evans writes:

“Young children sat in rapt attention Tuesday morning as librarians Christina Mayhand and Lara Crews read and acted out stories at the Carver School Road Library. Representatives from several community agencies drifted to the children’s area to watch, smiling as kids engaged in the interactive story time. It was the ideal setting for Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust to announce the launch of Great Expectations, the trust’s early childhood development initiative. The trust will invest $30 to $40 million over the next 10 to 15 years in strategies and organizations that support young children and their families in Forsyth County.”
