Temperatures are dropping, and the Winston-Salem City Police are again collecting blankets for the homeless this winter. For all those who were able to help in previous years, you are appreciated! Many more than 100 blankets were distributed throughout the cold months.

The Police have three drop-off locations:

* The large box outside the Bike Patrol Office downtown which is above the Grand Pavilion Ballroom of the Embassy Suites on Cherry Street between 4^th and 5^th Streets

* City Hall North at 101 N. Main Street

* Main Police Department at 725 N. Cherry Street

Clean used blankets, gloves, and knit caps are needed. If you are purchasing blankets to donate, double bed size is best.
