Buyers at Chamber Small Business Summit
Nearly a hundred representatives from small and medium-sized businesses had the opportunity to interact with purchasing agents from some of the area's largest companies and organizations at the Chamber's Small Business Summit on the afternoon of August 28, at Forsyth Tech's Bolton Street Campus.
Says Betsy Annese, president of Annese Public Relations: "In less than 30 minutes I made a connection with three organizations or companies that I had wanted to pursue as clients. The strength of the exhibitors was outstanding and I was able to make appointments with them to get more information about thepotential for business."
Adds Marshall Mathers, buyer for the City of Winston-Salem: "I was really surprised at the turnout--the Chamber does seem to have a number of core people who are really good about taking advantage of the services and programs for members. I enjoyed being there--it kept me busy!"
Buyers from 9 companies attended the event, including the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools, Novant Health, the City of Winston-Salem, the Wake Forest University Office of Business Diversity Programs, the Small Business Administration, Forsyth Technical Community College, the Small Business Technology Development Center, the Triad Business Journal and the Micro Enterprises Loan Program.
The Small Business Summit was hosted by both Forsyth Technical Community College and the Winston-Salem Chamber of Commerce.
