May 16: HR Practices That Will Drive Profits in Your Business
For most organizations, payroll, i.e. “people”, is the largest expense. The impact of bad hires, the loss of key employees, the effects of poor employee performance, the compliance risk created by risky management behaviors all create a drain on company profits. This course will address practical, time-tested Human Resources and People Management strategies companies can employ today to improve their bottom lines. These strategies include reducing administrative HR costs, reasonably protecting the business from compliance disasters and improving employee selection, people management and employee motivation and retention practices.

Small business owners invest a tremendous amount of time, money and resources to make their ventures successful, and yet, while the importance of emergency planning may seem self-evident, it may get put on the back-burner in the face of more immediate concerns. For small business owners, being prepared can mean staying in business following a disaster.
September 12: Let's Get Fiscal: Achieving Financial Fitness
Access to capital is vital to sustaining all businesses through good times and bad. This workshop gives small business owners an in-depth look at the essentials of using financial information to make effective business decisions. Additionally, this course will introduce you to financing alternatives and suggestions on how to review your financing options and negotiate the most favorable terms and conditions for your business. Topics covered include: improving cash flow, understanding lines of credit, interpreting agreements and contracts, how can balance sheets and income statements be used to identify problems and opportunities.
October 17: Loyalty Has its Rewards: Customer Satisfaction and Loyalty
Learn the simple methods to “Wow the customer with service.” Gain strategies you can use to transform first time customers into loyal customers. You will develop a roadmap for creating a customer base that is not driven by price and establish a customer-driven philosophy for your business.
November 14: Cut the Red Tape: Navigating Government Contracts
Contracting with the government can be very profitable, but it is not always the best business decision for small business owners. How can you determine if your business is ready to pursue government sales? Does the government need your products and/or services? If so who’s buying? At this seminar you will get answers to these questions and more.
