Business Retention and Expansion
The Chamber works with area companies to help with business issues or problems and to assist with expansion plans. Over the past five years, the Chamber has worked directly with more than 20 existing companies to help them retain and add jobs. While many of these companies will not disclose their expansions, we can document that they have created about 2,000 jobs and retained nearly 9,000 jobs over the past five years. National statistics show that 80% of net new jobs created in a community comes from our existing businesses.
