Council of Government Affairs
The mission of the Council of Government Affairs is to advocate for public policy that is in the best interest of business, encourage more efficient, less costly governments and to protect and educate members on key business issues.
We are focused on serving the interests of our 1,600 plus business members in the public arena. From local ordinances to federal regulations, we work to make sure your collective voice is heard on every issue that affects local commerce and its interaction with the community. And we provide you with the information you need to become informed advocates as well.
Our specialized subcommittees (comprised of area business experts) evaluate and address government actions in the following major categories:
In addition, every proactive stance adopted by the Winston-Salem Chamber must first go through several levels of review- to ensure that our efforts directly reflect the best interests of our members.
