Chamber Technology Services

Historically, Winston-Salem’s economy was built on manufacturing and financial services. Today, however, Winston-Salem and Forsyth County have undergone a transition to a technology-centered economy, and we are home to firms specializing in such areas as biomedical research, digital design, advanced manufacturing and advanced software development. Whenever possible, The Chamber promotes Winston-Salem’s image as a technology leader and offers local technology companies opportunities to raise awareness of their services and products. We also work with these and other local companies to expand the use of technology throughout the area, especially in schools.

Our technology services include the following:

  • Tech Council brings together technology and science professionals throughout the area to collaborate on ways to build our knowledge-based economy.
  • The Tech Council Speaker Series offers experts focused on topics related to Winston-Salem’s technology and innovation-based economy.
  • Tech Briefing is an annual event that allows local technology companies to present their latest innovations, designs, and products to the public and their peers.
  • Robot Run offers a friendly competition designed to get kids 9 to 14 excited about science and technology by building their own robots.
