What is Emerging Leaders?
Emerging Leaders is a program that provides opportunities and support to a small cohort of high-potential professionals looking to grow into meaningful leadership roles across Forsyth County. The program builds upon existing leadership and professional development offerings by focusing on community impact, systems-level thinking, and service-oriented leadership. Sessions will cover important topics such as governance, economic development, talent pipelines, and building inclusive economies.
Who is an Emerging Leader?
The ideal candidate for Emerging Leaders is an individual who recognizes the opportunity in Forsyth County and is willing to be of service to reach those goals. They will be:
Leadership Oriented
- Proven track record of leadership – professionally or personally
- Completion of previous leadership or professional development programs
- Clear intent to grow leadership skills and increase leadership responsibility in the community
Community Focused
- Committed to the growth and betterment of Forsyth County as seen through current community involvement or intended participation
- Understanding of Forsyth County’s current opportunities/challenges and desire to be a part of future development
Program Details
Cohort Size: 10 participants annually. Apply by invitation only.
Time Commitment: 5 two-hour sessions over the course of two months
Program Cost: $1,500 Member Cost | $2,000 Non-Member Cost
