Senior Academy
Volunteers for the Senior Academy program provide one-on-one mentoring for 12th-grade students who are in jeopardy of dropping out. Mentors are expected to spend at least one hour per week meeting with their student from late September through May.

Career Readiness
- Real World Connections is a program that brings business people together with students in small groups or one-on-one to give the students a sense of what is involved in different career paths.
- Career Specific Partnerships show students what they can expect from careers in four key professional areas – Finance, Hospitality & Tourism, Construction, and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) – to help them get a head start on their career decision.
Workforce Council
The purpose of Greater Winston-Salem, Inc.’s Workforce Council is to promote equitable and sustainable growth and expansion of Forsyth County’s workforce by championing a workforce development ecosystem through partnership and collaboration among community stakeholders including employers, education systems, workforce development systems, and city and county leadership.
