The Bermuda Run Country Club will host the Monday Qualifier for the 2014 PGA Tour Wyndham Championship held at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro.  The East Course at Bermuda Run will serve as host for this year’s Monday Qualifier along with the Thursday Pre-Qualifier.  The Wyndham Championship, in 2008, moved back to Sedgefield Country Club and became the only regular-season event on the PGA TOUR contested on a course originally designed by the legendary Donald Ross. The Wyndham Championship is among the oldest events on the PGA TOUR, and the 2014 tournament is the 75th renewal of North Carolina’s oldest professional golf event. The tournament enjoys a rich history that few PGA TOUR events have.  As part of its 75th anniversary celebration, the Wyndham Championship is the presenting sponsor of the Crosby Scholars Invitational at Bermuda Run Country Club on May 20 – See more at www.wyndhamchampionship.com.  Previous winners of the Wyndham Championship include several legends in the game of golf such as Sam Snead, Ben Hogan, Byron Nelson, Gary Player and Davis Love III.  The most recent winners include Webb Simpson (2011), Sergio Garcia (2012), and Patrick Reed (2013).

Pre-Qualifying will be held on Thursday, August 7th.  The field is limited to 156 players with the top 50 and ties advancing to the Monday Qualifier for the Wyndham Championship.

The Monday Qualifier, scheduled for August 11, will have approximately 100 golfers including the top 50 and ties from the Pre-Qualifier as well as PGA Tour and Web.com Tour Members not already exempt in the Wyndham Championship.  The top 4 from the Monday Qualifier will advance into the Wyndham Championship held at Sedgefield Country Club on August 14-17.
