Ruff Housing, a locally owned dog daycare that also offers lodging, grooming and training, will host Summer Splash, an adoption fair, on Saturday, June 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at its new Greensboro facility at 15 Battleground Court.

Several local and regional rescue groups and animal shelters including Guilford County Animal Shelter and SPCA of the Triad will be in attendance with dogs that are in need of homes. Groups will be stationed inside the new 16,000-square-foot facility’s playrooms and fenced play yards, and there will be food trucks and a variety of vendors with dog-related merchandise for sale. Face painting, games and prizes will also be available for the kids.

“We are excited about being a new member of the Greensboro community.  There are some fantastic rescue organizations here, and we look forward to continuing to support them,” said Kim Vaughn, owner of Ruff Housing.

Ruff Housing staff members will give tours of the facility and the dog pool with splash fountains. Guests are invited to bring their leashed dogs with proof of their current rabies vaccination at the door. Admission is free.

Ruff Housing has two locations in Winston-Salem, one in Greensboro, and a grooming salon and academy in Clemmons. For more information about the company or the event, call 336-602-1538 or go to www.ruffhousing.com.
