Allen Tate Realtors® in the Triad recently raised $17,000 to benefit public education, as part of the company’s 17th Annual FUNday event.

On FUNday, Allen Tate agents, employees and guests “pay to play” and raise money for local public education organizations. Since it began 17 years ago, FUNday has taken the form of a field day, tailgate picnic, community workday, and evening reception. This year, FUNday was held as four separate regional events through the company’s footprint in North and South Carolina. To date, FUNday has raised more than $1.38 million for public education across the Carolinas.

More than 225 people attended the Triad event, “Roll out the Red Carpet for Education,” an evening reception held October 2 at the Regency Room at the Elm Street Center in Greensboro. The festivities included silent and live auctions, a 50/50 drawing, reception and dancing.

“All of our Triad agents and leaders worked hard to pull together a fun event for a very worthy cause,”

said Lori Yager, FUNday Triad event chairperson. “It was great to have some our recipient organizations in attendance at the event.”

Local education organizations that will benefit from Allen Tate FUNday dollars include Alamance Burlington County Schools, Asheboro City Schools Educational Foundation, Children’s Museum of Alamance County, Davidson County Education Foundation, The Enrichment Fund for Guilford County Schools, Guilford Education Alliance, Randolph County Schools Endowment, Rockingham County Schools, and Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools.
