The SECU Family House joins other hospitality houses throughout the country in celebration of National Hospitality House Week as proclaimed by the Healthcare Hospitality Network, Inc. National Hospitality House Week is celebrated annually during the fourth week of July.

Activities include:
* Mayor Allen Joines will be at the Family House on July 22 at 11:30am to proclaim the week National Hospitality House Week.
* The Family House is hosting a blood drive on July 22 from 10am – 2:30pm at the House.
* PDQ will host a Family House Family Fun Day on Thursday, July 23 where 10% of the proceeds from your individual and catering purchases at PDQ will go towards the Family House if you mention our name.
* A $5,000 online “Milk Money and More” fundraising challenge for guest amenities including coffee, milk, and eggs is currently underway.

“The purpose of the week is to recognize the commitment of volunteers, individual donors, corporate supporters, funders, sponsors, and healthcare partners, that make it possible to serve more than 2,000 guests each year, says Kathy Carr, Executive Director. “The Family House is a service supporting Winston Salem’s top medical centers and we rely on the hospitality of Winston Salem to provide these guests with a comfortable, affordable place to stay when they travel to Winston Salem for treatment.”

The Family House has provided lodging and comfort services to over 14,000 patients and family members since opening in 2011.
