Vin 205 Farm to Table Bistro is the latest Winston-Salem restaurant to participate in The Salvation Army’s “12 Suppers at The Center of Hope” program. Vin 205 will prepare and serve dinner to the mothers, fathers, and children currently living at The Center of Hope Family Residence on Monday, August 29.
“12 Suppers at The Center of Hope” is a unique partnership among The Salvation Army and Winston-Salem area restaurants to serve meals at Forsyth County’s only Family Emergency Homeless Residence. Each month a different restaurant participates, not only giving residents a delicious meal but also the opportunity to interact with chefs and their staffs to learn about the culinary industry. It also serves to raise awareness in the community about the service The Center of Hope provides to families who find themselves without housing. Previous participants include Jeffrey Adams on Fourth, Village Tavern Hanes Mall, Spring House Restaurant, Bib’s BBQ, Zoes Kitchen, Cherries Café, The Old Fourth Street Filling Station, and Providence Restaurant.
Vin 205 Executive Chef Alexandria Caesar says, “I am both honored and ecstatic about being invited to participate in such incredible chance to spread my love for feeding people, especially to those who unfortunately may not be in a position to feed themselves. Being given the opportunity to give back to my community and to spread awareness of the services that The Salvation Army Center of Hope provides is nearly as rewarding as putting my heart into creating a delicious and healthy meal to their residents. I would like to thank both Joyce Farms and Sandy Hester of Lewisville Country Market for their generous donations towards this meal. Many thanks to my staff as well for volunteering their time in helping make this possible.”
Greater Winston-Salem Area Colbert comments,” We are again blessed and grateful for the outpouring of support for families in crisis shown by Chef Caesar and the staff at Vin 205. Their gift brings a great meal and a ray of hope to the families who call The Center of Hope home.”
The Salvation Army Center of Hope Family Residence is located at 1255 N. Trade St. Dinner service for “12 Suppers at The Center of Hope” begins at 4:30p.m.
