School of Divinity professor Dr. John Senior and School of Law professor Steve Virgil will team up to teach a 12-week online course beginning in January 2017. The course, Public Leadership in Nonprofit Organizations: Legal and Theological Perspectives, is a faith-based nonprofit leadership certificate program with three interrelated components:

(1) The essentials of nonprofit leadership and management,
(2) Readings, reflections, and discussion about the legal and moral function that nonprofits play in society, and
(3) A capstone project that focuses on a particular strategic need of your own nonprofit, on some aspect of forming a nonprofit, or on an area of interest related to faith-based non profit leadership.

The course content will be a mix of asynchronous online webinars, synchronous online discussions, and two weekend sessions that can be attended in-person or through online video feed.

After completing all sessions, participants receive a certificate of completion.
