In North Carolina alone, more than 10,000 children are living in foster homes. That number has increased by 25% over the past five years, and shows no sign of slowing down. Today, there are more children who need a foster home than there are homes available for placement. To put it bluntly, kids across North Carolina are waiting for someone like you with an open heart and an open home to be their support system and be a foster parent.

Children’s Hope Alliance is one of several foster care providers in the state, but the agency prides itself on being very supportive of their foster parents. They understand one of the best ways to help these children heal is to support foster families who provide loving homes for them. Children’s Hope Alliance makes sure foster parents are ready for the challenges ahead by providing extensive and up-to-date training. They also offer 24-hour support, respite services, therapeutic support programs, and monthly financial stipends. Children’s Hope Alliance foster care case managers stay in regular contact with foster parents, and are always just a phone call away.

Another benefit to Children’s Hope Alliance’s foster care program is the fact that the agency offers a robust array of nearly 30 specialized services to help children and families. Many times, children can get help from multiple programs including intensive in-home or outpatient therapeutic services while in a foster home.

About Children’s Hope Alliance
Children’s Hope Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a long history of child advocacy and welfare dating back to 1891.  The mission of Children’s Hope Alliance is to provide a safe healing journey for hurting children and families – creating hope now and in the future. In 2014 Children’s Hope Alliance helped over 3,600 children in almost 70 counties through their more than 20 specialized service programs.  All of services provided by Children’s Hope Alliance create hope for hurting children and families in three ways – healing the hurt for children and families that are troubled, abused or neglected; providing a safe home for children through group homes, therapeutic foster care and adoption; and encouraging a healthy start through educational, prevention and developmental programs.
