The Supreme Court (SCOTUS) granted an immediate stay of a mandate by the Biden administration that would have required employees at large businesses to get vaccinated for COVID-19, or test regularly and mask while working.  However, the court ruled that the Biden administration can proceed with a separate vaccine mandate for most healthcare workers in the U.S.

The court’s ruling is based on the belief that the mandate was an overreach by a Federal agency. “Although Congress has indisputably given OSHA the power to regulate occupational dangers, it has not given that agency the power to regulate public health more broadly,” wrote the justices in an unsigned opinion.
