Thanks to the partnership between Hanes and Box Tops for Education, Hanes recently donated Box Tops to Mineral Springs Elementary School during its spring PTA meeting and multicultural fair, attended by more than 250 students and their families.

Hanes employees were asked to drop off Box Tops in bins placed at the entrances of Oak Summit and Northridge earlier this year. The bins are placed in the lobbies twice a year to give employees the opportunity to contribute Box Tops to benefit a local, participating elementary school.

Hanes4Education also presented Mineral Springs Principal Debra Gladstone and Counselor Mike Nuckolls with an additional 5,000 Box Tops for the school’s Positive Behavior Initiative.

“It is with the generous support from corporations such as HanesBrands that we are able to move forward in a positive direction knowing that we are able to do even more toward our goal of providing the optimal education for all students,” said Gladstone. “HanesBrands’ generous support is a great investment in our greatest natural resource and that is our wonderful children who represent our communities of the future.”

In 2011, Hanes Branded Printwear became a partner with Box Tops for Education, the nation’s largest school fundraising initiative, enabling participating elementary and middle schools to earn Box Tops when they order printed Hanes shirts from screen printers and other suppliers. Called Hanes4Education, this program recently eclipsed more than 1.4 million Box Tops earned for local schools. In 2012, Hanes joined the program and Box Tops can now be found on packages of men’s, women’s and kids’ underwear and socks.

There will be another collection drive this summer, so please continue collecting Box Tops!
