Congratulations to the 77 El Salvador employees who recently received their high school diplomas on July 3 through the EDUCAME program, which helps Salvadoran adults earn a high school diploma.

During the recent sixth annual graduation ceremony, the Hanes graduates were awarded diplomas from schools certified by the Salvadoran Ministry of Education.

Since 2009, more than 300 employees from our six operating plants in El Salvador have graduated from the EDUCAME program, logging more than 224,000 study hours. Employees attend schools on weekends and in some cases during the week.

“There are numerous benefits for employees such as improving their quality of life while increasing their skills and boosting their self-esteem,” said Guillermo Vásquez, manager, organization and development. “To date, we have graduated more than 1,300 employees from the Hanes education program throughout Central America.”
