Effective communication will result in increased revenues from customers and greater credibility with other executives and staff. Denise wants women executives to gain even more of the respect they deserve but are often denied because of cultural differences in the workplace. Denise was the first African-American woman hired at the NBC affiliate in the Winston-Salem, Greensboro, High-Point market to anchor the Monday through Friday evening newscasts. She was the first African-American woman to serve as general manager at WFDD-FM.
